Where does the hair come from?
Our extensions are all made from real hair. Our keratin and tape-in extensions are made from real Remy hair with intact cuticles, carrying the “Best Quality Cuticle Remy Human Hair” quality seal, guaranteed for 6 months from the time of purchase.
We use virgin hair with cuticles from India, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. The hair is carefully selected, and undergoes a coloring process which leaves the cuticle and hair structure intact.
The process is very delicate, and may last up to 20-25 days for light and blonde shades.
It is then dyed using products which do not damage the hair. The result is a product that is integral, soft as silk, shiny, easy to brush and to manage.
Keeping the cuticles intact and all lying in the same direction is fundamental for perfect extensions.
While extensions made from real hair without cuticles or in synthetic fiber are also available on the market, these products are not recommended, since they tend to tangle and lose their shine shortly after application.
How long does it take to apply the extensions?
Application time depends on a number of factors, including the type of extension (keratin or tape-in), the type of application desired (whether simple thickening, or lengthening of the entire head of hair), and the skill of the hairdresser applying the extensions.
Lengthening the entire head of hair using keratin extensions requires more time: a whole head requires 3-4 hours or more.
Application of tape-in extensions is less time-consuming, and can be completed in as little as 45 minutes, including cutting.

How are the extensions applied?
The application procedure varies depending on whether keratin or tape-in extensions are used.
With keratin extensions, your hair is divided into small sections. The keratin extension is placed under a section of your own hair, then the keratin bond is fused using a special tool. When the bond is hot it becomes pliable, and is folded over itself with the fingers to fix it to your own hair, and pressed firmly to make it smooth and flat.

With tape-in extensions, your hair is divided into small sections, this time of the same width as the extensions to be applied (in the case of our tape extensions, this is 4 cm). Each section is “sandwiched” between two extensions, one on top and one underneath, so that the two tape-in extensions adhere to each other.

Can I feel the keratin bonds or the adhesive once the extensions are in place?
No. If the extensions are properly applied, the keratin bonds will be almost imperceptible to the touch.
Tape-in extensions are also extremely slender, with each lock of hair being less than 1 millimeter thick, making them practically impossible to feel once they are in place.
Are curly extensions available?
Absolutely! We offer a selection of curly extensions, both tape-in and keratin. Although it is fine to use a straightening iron on these extensions, we advise against doing this too often, because the hair used in these extensions is treated to make it keep its curl/wave. If you only want curls every once in a while, we advise having straight extensions applied, and using a curling iron when necessary.

Can the hair be reused?
Keratin-bond extensions cannot be reused, because the bonding point is broken during removal, and the lock of hair comes apart.
Tape extensions, on the other hand, can be re-used a number of times.
Our Remy extensions with intact cuticles, if correctly maintained, keep their appearance for up to a year or 18 months.
Approximately every 2-3 months, depending on the speed of regrowth, the extensions can be removed, the adhesive changed, and reapplied.
