THE BASICS
Before applying the extensions, wash the hair with shampoo only, do not apply conditioner.
If necessary, apply conditioner on the ends only (DO NOT apply conditioner to the roots or close to the root area, as this could affect the holding power of the keratin).
Thoroughly dry and straighten the hair, noting how the hair falls naturally.
If the hair is very full and thick, use thinning shears to remove some of the bulk at the base, as this will help the extensions to adhere to the hair.
This operation is not necessary if the hair has already been cut to reduce its volume.
The extensions are applied one on top of the other, with the customer’s hair “sandwiched” between the two.
Using the tail of the comb, create a thin section with the same width as the extension to be applied.
Remove the protective paper
And apply the first extension under the section of client’s hair, taking care not to touch the adhesive with the fingers.
Apply the second extension on top of the first.
Make pressure for a few seconds using the special pliers for adhesive extensions, to ensure that the two extensions adhere perfectly to each other.
The removal process is very simple: simply apply a few drops of remover between the two extensions and “open” them, pulling gently with the fingers.
This procedure should be performed delicately: add a few more drops of remover if necessary.
To reapply the extensions once these have been removed, it is necessary to replace the old adhesive.
- Rub the adhesive with the fingers and remove any residue.
- Thoroughly dry the extension and the bond site using a hair dryer, and apply fresh adhesive to the clean extension. The adhesive strips are pre-cut and measure 4cm in width, the same as those used on the tape and Evolution tape extensions.
It is very important to reposition the extensions at the same point where they were initially applied. If, for example, the first row of extensions (those applied to the lower part of the head) were re-applied to the crown, the result would obviously be very different to how it was initially, giving a cut that is much more layered.
To replicate the result obtained during the first application and cut, it is important to replace all pairs of extensions in their original positions.
The time between one application and another depend on the rate of growth of the customer’s hair.
The reapplication process should be performed every 2-3 months on average.
Tape extensions and Evolution tape extensions are produced using the best quality hair with intact cuticles: proper care and maintenance will keep the hair looking beautiful and manageable for up to 12 or 18 months.
RULES
1.
Leave a distance of approximately 1.5 cm between the top edge of the extension and the customer’s scalp.
2.
Work at the correct angle: it is important to work in the same direction as the hair growth to avoid dragging.
3.
Create an appropriate balance between the quantity of hair that the client has and the amount of hair applied.
The section must have the same quantity of hair as the adhesive extension. If the section is too thin, the weight of the extensions may cause irritation; if it is too thick, it will prevent the extension adhering properly to the customer’s hair. The two adhesives must adhere to each other to guarantee sufficient hold over time, up to 3-4 months.

Distribute the hair along the entire width of the extension, not only at the center, to prevent the extension from slipping or becoming detached.

Check the applied extensions every month.
After this period of time, it is likely that a certain amount of the customer’s hair has fallen out naturally, remaining caught in the applied extensions. If they left in place, this may cause undesirable effects, such as a “backcombed” look at the root
