How long can extensions be worn for?
Generally speaking, a keratin extension (when applied correctly) will stay attached for 5-6 months.
Adhesive extensions, on the other hand, may be worn for up to 3-4 months.
But this also depends on how quickly your hair grows.
It is generally advisable to remove them and reapply close to the roots every 8-10 weeks.

Is it possible to colour extensions?
The hair used to produce extensions have already undergone various decolourization and re-colouring treatments to obtain all shades of colour.
So, further dyeing could damage the hair structure and spoil its sheen and brightness. It is always preferable to colour your own hair to obtain a shade that is closer to that of the extensions. If you really cannot resist the urge to do so, always colour them from dark to light preferring tones that are very similar to the colour chosen at the time of application and effecting nothing but slight changes to match your own hair.
It is advisable to get the job done by an expert hairdresser.
Always avoid decolourization.
In any case, remember that if you do colour your extensions the warrantee will no longer be valid.
Is it possible to use hairdryers, straightening plates and curling tongs on extensions?
Of course, extensions are made of all-natural hair and can be set as you wish, using such tools as hairdryers, straightening plates and curling tongs.
It is advisable to use heat protecting products to prevent possible cuticle damage caused by heat in the course of time.
Such as PLUS 12 Spray lotion with restructuring liquid keratin.
Which products are recommended for taking care of hair extensions?
Ordinary shampoos and conditioners are not suitable for extensions.
Protein-rich products are required to compensate as much as possible for the lack of natural nutrition. Use specific products for treated and coloured hair, whose composition is also suitable for extensions.
Even Remy cuticle hair, which is used to make the highest quality extensions on the market, need to be moisturized and nourished with quality products.

Can I colour the roots once the extensions are fitted?
It is always advisable to carry out colour treatments before fitting the extensions.
However, it is possible to colour the roots of your own hair even when the extensions are attached, taking care to prevent any dye coming into contact with the bonds.
Can extensions be reused?
Keratin extensions cannot be reused.
Adhesive extensions can. At intervals of 8-12 weeks, it is advisable to remove the hair strands, replace the adhesive part and re-attach them close to the roots.
How are keratin extensions removed?
The removal of keratin extensions is effected by spraying a few drops of solvent and pressing the bonds with the help of a special pair of tweezers.
In this way the keratin breaks down and may be detached easily from the hair.
How are adhesive extensions removed?
Their removal is very simple.
It is sufficient to apply a few drops of remover between the strands and “open them” with your fingers.
Effect this operation gently and, if necessary, add a few more drops of remover.

How many strands are contained in a pack?
The keratin extension comes in packs of 25 strands.
Tape Extension and Evolution Tape Extension packs contain 12 strands. Each strand is 4 cm wide.
How many replacement adhesive tapes are supplied in a pack?
Each pack of MAX 4 – MAX 4 SINGLE SIDE – MAX 2 replacement adhesive contains 60 pieces of double sided tape.
How many hair strands are needed for a complete extension?
For a keratin extension, from 100 to 200 strands are required, based on your own head of hair and the result you wish to achieve.
Thin hair: 100 strands (4 packs)
Medium hair: 150 strands (6 packs)
Thick hair: 200 strands (8 packs)
For an adhesive extension:
Thin hair: 36 strands (18 double applications) – (3 packs)

How much does a complete extension cost?
The cost varies according to your hair length and the number of strands you wish to apply.
Even colour may impact price to a certain extent, with light coloured hair costing slightly more than dark shades.
Can I swim in the sea or pool wearing extensions?
Yes, it is possible to do so. Always protect your hair because chlorine or sea salt may damage it. After bathing in the sea or pool, always rinse your hair with fresh water. Use products providing protection from the sun rays.
Do extensions ruin your own hair? And what about remover?
NOT AT ALL. Both keratin and double sided tape are totally non-allergenic.
It is essential to fit the extensions correctly to prevent them pulling at your own hair, and to have them checked from time to time at your hairdressing salon.

Can I put my hair up and change hairstyle when wearing extensions?
Of course, it is possible to tie back your hair and create different hairstyles just as you would with your own hair.
Are extensions bothersome? Do they “pull” at your own hair? Will I be able to sleep?
You will not feel the presence of your extensions. Being very fine, they are not perceptible to the touch and so soft that they adapt perfectly to the shape of your head.
If you feel discomfort or a sensation of “pulling”, it means they have not been fitted correctly.

How long does it take to fit an extension?
It always depends on the effect you wish to achieve.
On average, it takes from 2 to 4 hours to fit a complete keratin extension, comprising cut and set.
An adhesive extension takes from 30 to 60 minutes comprising cut and set.
What effects can be achieved with an extension?
You can lengthen your hair all over.
You can lengthen it partially, for instance at the back of the head, or you may lengthen the sides to create a fashionable haircut.
You may create full or side fringes.
You may create shatush-effect fashion colours or mesh effects without decolourizing the client’s hair.
And with Evolution Tape Extension the bond is invisible and therefore more natural-looking.

Is there a warranty on the extensions?
Yes, we warranty the extensions up to 6 months from the date of purchase, because we know the quality of our materials and our labor.
However, the warranty is valid only if a correct use and proper maintenance are made by the purchaser.
This in order to distinguish the if the lacks were caused by improper processing (covered by warranty) or the damages were caused by incorrect use.
Many are in fact the elements that can ruin the hair: high temperatures, wrong hair cuts, aggressive products, coloring, bleaching, permanent just to name a few.
Also the behavior that a person adopts affects the extensions. For example to dive into the sea or in the pool and do not rinse your hair with fresh water immediately after, even brushing or combing too close to the extension’s points of junction.
We believe that is fundamental to educate our clients and our salons on the rules for proper use and maintenance of the extensions.
Therefore, Fair Fashion S.r.l. reserves the right to inspect and verify the origin of the damage before activate the product warranty.
When is the warranty valid?
The warranty is valid in case of knotting or premature drying where all the precautions mentioned above have been met.
The warranty is valid on the points of junctions such as keratin or adhesive only and exclusively if the salon has run a training course with us.
In the rare event that may arise a cause for complaint, Fair Fashion warranty card is a valid document to get a replacement, it must be stored and shipped back along with the Extension to our control.
Fair Fashion S.r.l. is not responsible for changes and modifications made on the extension after the purchase and is not liable for damage caused by improper washing and wear.
The warranty expires automatically when the hair is chemically treated: bleached or perm.
